  5. Mission: Learn the art & science of innovation. Start with a focus on self-examination, i.e., strengths. Use technical skills, knowledge, social capital, and wisdom of experience to engage in the practice of tech innovation.
  6.
  7. Objectives:  Define outcome of the innovation process desired as clearly as possible. Don’t worry if the outcome is not perfectly clear as “pleasant surprises” are always welcome. But also important is to be aware of “risks” to efforts and resources . “Smart Talk” is not enough.  “Actionable Knowledge”, often via wisdom of experience and small team are needed.
  8.
  9. Success Models: I have found “success models” inspiring and useful for “actionable knowledge” development process. Knowledge of individual innovators important to derive inspiration. These individuals and few others have provided valuable lessons and inspiration for me: Thomas Edison, R. Tagore, Marie Curie, Jack Kilby, Rachel Carson, Robert Noyce, Marshall Nirenberg, James Watson, Francis Crick, Ben Franklin are all inspiring innovators.  You pick your own and learn about their lives, work and times. Their failures and eventual success. The public library is a short distance for most of us who live in
  10. USA or Europe, or
  11. Japan I think. On the internet, wikipedia.org is a  helpful resource that I use all the time. I love bookstores, both new and used.

Self Introduction:  I am pursuing technology innovation by first define areas of technology innovations that are important to me and then seeking “demo projects” via a small group “virtual team” formation, often inspired by the needs of a community of which I am a part. I am in the process of creating a “bridge” between the small tech biz community to which I belong and have served in a community service capacity for many years and identified technical experts at nearby research universities and/or experts associated with a consultant network via the technical professional society, www.ieee.org to which I belong as a member.  Second, addressed to this community of small tech biz and self-employed consultant innovators primarily, I am seeking to publish a “limited edition” book on tech innovation I have written.

Finally, my community service activity encompasses producing a monthly half hour educational television program at the studios of my local community television station, channel 10, www.fcac.org. I am an independent producer like others in this public access television station located in my community. My program is titled “Our Family Origins”. Right now I am producing two series in parallel, “Celebrating Great Minds” and “Genes To Future Medicine”.  The show is broadcasted however currently in the local viewing area in Northern Virginia .

This in summary is my innovator’s self-introduction.
